Many of you probably know that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr is one of my heroes. Basically the man rocks my socks off and I can only hope that someday I will be a fifth of the person he was. He said a lot of amazing things so in honor of his day, I’ve picked a few of my favorite quotes and I’ll let the guy speak for himself.

Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.
Human progress is neither automatic or inevitable. Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.
I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too much of a burden to bear.
Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.
